If you¡¯re a big fan of Singing in the Rain, Korean design company SDESIGNUNIT has a concept product you¡¯ll love.
Music in the Rain is a musical umbrella. Open it up and tunes instantly begin to play through the canopy. Spin the umbrella to the left or right and you¡¯ll be able to move between tracks. And when not in use, you'll still be able to listen to music stored in your brolly ? simply plug a special speaker into the handle.
It¡¯s a nice idea, but various questions spring to mind. How do you get the music into the umbrella in the first place? Will there be a pause button? What about a volume control? And will the umbrella blast your music to the world when turned inside out by a strong gust of wind?
At the moment Music in the Rain is just at the design stage so don¡¯t expect to have a smile on your face as you walk down the lane with a happy refrain any time soon.

In theory having an umbrella that can play music would be nice, especially with clever touches like fast forwarding and rewinding by twisting the handle. But think about it¡¦ how long do you ever hold an umbrella open at any given time? Enough to listen to one song? Maybe two or three?
Furthermore, I might just not know how to use umbrellas or just have a habit of buying the cheapest and crappiest umbrellas available, but I go through the damned things like you wouldn't believe. It doesn't seem like the most reliable place to stick fancy electronics. I'll just keep my iPod, thanks very much.

sdesignunit is a Seoul, Korea-based product design firm with a nice range of curious goods racked up in their growing portfolio. One of their most insightful studies are these power plug solutions. One concept shows plugs with integrated sockets for stacking, eliminating the need for cumbersome power strips. The other design provides an individual on/off switch at the plug site. This gives the user another option when delegating power to a variety of devices that are clustered at the same source.

Just for the heck of it every rainy season I tend to go in for a thorough drench. Only if I had some music to accompany my fantasy! But that only happens in the movies. Not any more buddy. Designer Bong kyu Song of SDESIGNUNIT in Korea has probably the same fantasy as mine and has gone ahead to make ¡®Music in the Rain¡¯, an umbrella for singing in the rain! It uses the canopy as a speaker and lets the sound to be more concentrated. The handle doubles up as controls to forward or rewind the music. ¡°If you spin this umbrella to left or right, the music will move forward (right turn) or reverse (left turn).¡± So incase you are used to twirling the umbrella handle, just be careful around this one

C'est une sensation toujours agreable d'ecouter de la musique sous la pluie !
Le studio Sdesignunit vient de mettre au point ce parapluie equipe d'enceintes !
L'astuce reside dans le faite que la poignee pivote pour faire un son spatiale ou directionnel !
Autre bonne idee, le parapluie fonctionne des son ouverture et s'arrete automatiquement des qu'il est replie.

Pour ceux qui ne peuvent pas vivre sans musique, les designers de chez Sdesignunit ont cree un parapluie dont la poignee est dotee d'un haut-parleur. A priori, le son serait bien contenu par la parabole formee par le parapluie et serait de bonne qualite.

La agencia de diseno industrial Koreana SDESIGNUNIT, se caracteriza por la originalidad y sencillez de sus disenos. Mirando su web, me ha llamado la atencion este paraguas-mp3 llamado ¡°Music in the Rain¡°. Como su nombre indica es un paraguas equipado con un reproductor mp3 que se controla mediante un mecanismo instalado en el mango y ofrece la posibilidad de escuchar la musica mediante auriculares o bien utilizando el altavoz incorporado.
Ademas, si deja de llover no hay por que preocuparse ya que podemos dejar el paraguas cerrado en una esquina de nuestro salon conectado a los altavoces de nuestro equipo HI-FI.
Especialmente recomendado para romantico-sentimentales.

Voce deve se lembrar daquela cena do filme "Singin in The Rain", que o ator Gene Kelly danca com o guarda-chuva debaixo de uma tempestade que so se ve no cinema ou novelas. A versao atual daquele guarda-chuva ja vem com caixas sonoras para tocar musica.
Pelo menos e o que propoe o designer coreano Bong Kyu Song, com o seu Music in the Rain, da empresa SDESIGNUNIT. Agora, se voce nao se lembra de tal filme, nao se preocupe, ele tem data de 1952. So quem tem mais de 50 anos se viu a versao sem reprises.
